Our story
Moving forward together
Under the encouragement and confidence of the former owners, 2 young graduates of the post graduate program in manual therapy and musculoskeletal rehabilitation at the Université de Sherbrooke, Danika Boyer and Simon Rousseau, took over Clinique CKO, which opened on April 2, 2005, making it the first of its kind in the Eastern Townships.
Our goal at Clinique CKO is to promote healing and get you back to feeling comfortable with your body as quickly as possible. We achieve this through approved hands-on techniques, individual therapy, customized rehabilitation programs and treatments tailored to each patient.
It's an approach to the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain, such as tendonitis, sprains and back pain. For patients, it's an excellent alternative to all other types of therapy. For us, we see it more as a new complement to what has been lacking until now, with the aim of offering the best possible patient care.
Treatments are based on the principle of muscular rebalancing, with the subject taking an active part in his or her treatment. After a personalized clinical observation including visual, palpatory and mobilization examinations, the kinesitherapist will perform: therapeutic massage treatments with the subject's active participation, gentle mobilization maneuvers respecting physiological amplitudes, and prescribe exercises to achieve musculoskeletal balance ensuring better posture.
Now, after more than 10 years in business, the clinic is booming. In April 2008, it moved to its new premises at 4378 rue Saint-Bernadette, much to the delight of the 2 associates and their customers! More modern facilities, ideal parking and brand-new equipment. In short, everything is wonderful for these young entrepreneurs, whose sole aim is to put a smile back on the faces of people suffering from chronic pain!
